Nyamango hosts Youth business/Entrepreneurship program
Nyamango Technical Institute (N.T.I) is privileged to be among the only five TVET institutions in Uganda selected to take part in the Ongoing Youth Business Incubator organized by the International Organization for Migration(IOM), Uganda with funding from the FCDO.
This program is targeting TVET students who are Youth aged from 20 to 30 years and which are in their final year of study or graduated between 2018 and 2025.
Today (24/6/2025), all second year students and some staff at N.T.I attended a recruitment drive in the main hall where information and opportunities were shared by representatives from IOM through a presentation.
During the presentation, Mr. Ivan Wandera (Senior Project Assistant) briefed students about IOM on what it does and services it provides including infrastructure development, needs assessment, risk communication and community engagements among others.
Also another representative from IOM, Mr. Lambert Buzaare (Project Assistant) shared insightful information about pre-employment orientation, services offered by Migration Workers Support Centre and the Youth Business Incubator.
At the end of presentation, students who attended were told about an opportunity to get grant where they are supposed to write a motivation letter and Business plan and submit them so that plans which are more viable can be selected and winners awarded with a grant to start their own business with continued support and follow up.
